Cookies Policy
Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy applies to www.currentbody.us (the "Website"), operated by The Beauty Tech Group Ltd (company number 06805380), Glasshouse, Alderley Park, Congleton Road, Nether Alderley, Cheshire, SK10 4ZE, United Kingdom ("CurrentBody", "we", "us"). It explains what cookies and similar technologies we use, which third parties receive information through them, and how you choose what runs.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information more generally.
1. What these technologies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. Pixels, tags, scripts and local storage do similar jobs: they let the Website, or a third party whose code we have included, recognise your device and record how you use the Website. When a third party sets one of these, information about your visit is sent to that third party. We refer to all of them as "cookies" in this policy.
2. Your choice comes first
When you first visit the Website you are shown a notice with two options: Accept and Preferences. You cannot browse the Website until you have made a choice.
- Accept allows the analytics and advertising technologies described in sections 4 and 5. Until you click Accept, none of them is loaded and none of the third parties named in those sections receives any information about your visit.
- Preferences lets you reject marketing and analytics with one control, or turn categories on individually. Rejecting does not restrict your use of the Website.
- Closing the notice without choosing is not treated as acceptance.
You can change your choice at any time using Cookie settings in the Website footer. If you clear your browser's cookies you will be asked to choose again.
Necessary and security technologies (section 3) run regardless of your choice.
3. Necessary and security technologies (always on)
These are required to operate the Website and to take payment safely. They do not collect information for advertising and are not shared with advertising partners.
Store operation. Cookies set by our ecommerce platform, Shopify, that keep your basket, currency, region and checkout session working and protect against tampering. Shopify's Shop Pay service sets a cookie to allow accelerated checkout. See the Shopify Privacy Policy.
Security and performance. Cloudflare sets cookies to protect the Website from malicious traffic and to deliver it reliably. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
Fraud prevention. We use Signifyd to protect our customers and ourselves against payment fraud. Signifyd's technology runs from the start of your visit and may collect information about your device (such as browser type, operating system, IP address and a device identifier) and how you interact with the Website, in order to assess the risk of fraud if you place an order. Signifyd provides us with a risk score for an order. We do not receive, and cannot access, the underlying device or behaviour data, and no score is produced unless an order is placed. Signifyd processes this information solely for fraud prevention. See the Signifyd Privacy Policy.
4. Analytics (only if you accept)
If you accept, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Website: pages viewed, time on site, how you arrived and whether you have visited before. Google receives your IP address, a device identifier and details of your interactions with the Website, and processes them in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy. You can also opt out of Google Analytics on every website using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
5. Advertising (only if you accept)
If you accept, we and the partners below use cookies and pixels to show you CurrentBody advertising on other websites and apps, to limit how often you see it, and to measure whether our advertising leads to visits and purchases. These partners receive information about the pages and products you view on the Website, a device or browser identifier, and whether you complete a purchase.
